AODA Guidelines

Make Your Website Accessible

Under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, The University is required to make its websites and web content accessible:

  • Beginning January 1, 2014, if you are launching a new public website and web content or doing a significant site refresh, the site and its content must conform with WCAG 2.0 Level A
  • Beginning January 1, 2021, all public websites and web content posted after January 1, 2012, must conform with WCAG 2.0 Level AA other than than providing captions on live videos or addition descriptions for pre-recorded videos
